Instead Try: Changing what you eat. Add more fruits and vegetables into your daily meals. In return the weight will work itself off as you slowly make lifestyle changes that result in weight loss.

HERE’S HOW: Focus on creating 2-3 more home style meals each week. Use time savers like your crock pot to have dinner ready when you get home. Learn how to make veggies with flavor or create a healthy breakfast that’s ready in minutes.


Typical New Year Resolution: Exercise

Instead Try: Moving! In place of sitting every night get up and move.

Pick something that you love to do that will get you moving daily. Exercise is another word for “moving.”

HERE’S HOW: Do what you love: swimming, golfing, running, yoga, walking, etc.

Make the time 2-3 times a week to get active by doing something you love. Exercise no longer becomes the enemy but instead, it becomes time set aside for moving & doing something you truly enjoy.


 Typical New Year Resolution: Eat Healthier

Instead Try: Staying away from eating anything that you can purchase from a drive through window!

Learn how to enjoy REAL food, made “fast” with the focus being on whole foods & easy recipes.

HERE’S HOW: Start with making your lunch time healthier by preparing it at home. You don’t have to eat salad after salad in order to eat healthier. REAL food tastes great.

Get guidance from a dietician or local cooking class on how to use whole foods to create quick and easy meals. Your goal is to learn what real food tastes like and it’s going to be surprising to your taste buds!
